Executive Chef Geoffroy Deconinck

A native of Belgium and a graduate with high honors from CERIA Culinary Academy in Brussels, his career took him to Restaurant Alain Ducasse, Plaza Athenée in Paris, France, and then on to leading and executive roles in New York City’s Café Boulud, Restaurant Daniel and Bouley Restaurant and now to Natalie’s.  Deconinck most recently served under the direction of highly regarded Executive Chef Cyrille Alannic at JP Morgan Chase Corporate Dining Services, catering to NY CEOs.

His philosophy of cooking is rooted in French tradition and emphasizes fresh, local, simple flavors.

In 2011 Deconinck was nominated New Best Chef in the USA by Food and Wine Magazine and CNN people’s choice. He also came in second with his fine dining version of a Lobster Roll in the Lobster Roll Rumble in NYC last July.

Alejandro Marchesini Restaurant Manager and Sommelier

Alejandro (Alex) Marchesini joins Natalie’s and the Inn from management and Sommelier positions at upscale hotels and restaurants including Boston’s Locke-Ober and Scampo at the Liberty Hotel. For years he has worked closely with top chefs to create perfect food and wine pairings and develop exquisite wine lists, and with guests to bring them exactly the wine to suit their taste and complement their meal.
He trained at the Boston University School of Hospitality, focusing on wine, and has traveled the world learning about wines and meeting with wine-makers. He has studied growing conditions in Sonoma, and undertook an oenology internship in the Umbria region of Italy.

Bar Manager Tom Laslavic

Tom LaslavicTom manages the bar at Natalie’s. With his unpretentious graciousness and great taste for special cocktails, he is dedicated to seeing that every guest feels perfectly looked after while dining at Natalie’s. Tom won the award for best cocktail of Maine in March 2010 with his special recipe for the ”Camden Hike”. The Camden Hike was the only cocktail from Maine included in America’s Cocktail Book by IMBIBE Magazine in 2011.

He also oversees the selections for the wine list and the bar, bringing to the job his past experience helping to establish the bar at the nationally acclaimed restaurant Primo.

Owners: Oscar Verest and Raymond Brunyanszki

Since purchasing the venerable Camden Harbour Inn in 2007, Dutch owners Raymond Brunyanszki and Oscar Verest have transformed it into an AAA four-diamond boutique hotel and restaurant that has earned raves and draws guests from all over the US and beyond.
